Kenneth N. Schwaderer, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Schwaderer is Board Certified. He graduated from University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 1971. Rather than joining his father's optometric practice in Sonoma, he joined Mountain View Optometry. He is a very active member in his profession and community.
Awards and Recognitions: Recently Dr. Schwaderer was recognized as University of California Alumnus of the Year by the Optometry Alumni Association. He was also recognized as California Optometrist of the year, a very prestigious award given to him for not only his extensive contribution to the profession, but also to the local community. |
Activities and Involvement:
Dr. Schwaderer is a past Chairman of the Board of Vision Service Plan, and also serves as an ambassador to the University of California at Berkeley. He is a fellow of both the American Academy of Optometry and the national Board of Examiners in Optometry. He was the Chairman of the Board and a founding Board Member of California Ophthalmic Laser Associates. He is also a founding member of the Contact Lens and Low Vision Sections of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Schwaderer has served as the principle investigator on many clinical research and contact lens projects. He was guest faculty lecturer for the Stanford University Medical Center Primary Care Program. He is a very active member of Mountain View Rotary Club and Mountain View Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the board of Bellarmine College Preparatory and has been a long time coach of Little League Baseball.
Dr. Schwaderer and his wife, Susan, have raised two terrific sons and have two wonderful daughter-in-laws: Andy and Lesle are both graduates of Purdue University. They have two sons: Grahm and Renn. Cory is a graduate of the University of Arizona. He and his wife Andrea have two sons, Logan and Mason, and a daughter Peyton.

Linda K. Hur, O.D.
Dr. Hur in Board Certified. She graduated from University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 1990. She then returned to Los Altos where she grew up and practiced in several local clinics before joining Mountain View Optometry in 1991. She is a dedicated member of organized optometry and has participated actively at the local level on special projects and as a Board of Trustee.
Awards and Recognitions: Dr. Hur was recognized as Young Optometrist of the Year by Santa Clara County Optometric Society in 1992 and was the recipient of the Society Project of the Year two years in a row, given by California Optometric Association. These projects emphasized vision awareness in school age children. |

In addition to general Optometry, Dr. Hur enjoys contact lens challenges and children's vision. She has participated as a clinical investigator for contact lens & solutions studies. She encourages young people to consider the profession of Optometry and participates in Career Day at Los Altos and Monta Vista High Schools. Dr. Hur is involved in her communtity and church.

Ellen Szeto, O.D.
Dr. Szeto attended the University of California at Berkeley, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Biology. In 1995, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry. Her hospital based training includes work at the Palo Alto Blind Rehabilitation Center and pathology rotations with the San Francisco and Tacoma Veteran's Administration Medical Centers. Previously, she spent the last 6 years in a private multi-doctor practice in San Francisco's Financial District.
Activities and Involvement: Dr. Szeto is a member of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society, the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. |
A life long Bay Area resident, Dr. Szeto was born and raised in San Francisco. She recently moved to the South Bay area and enjoys working with patients of all ages and is looking forward to serving you for your eye care needs.
Kathleen Shen, O.D.
Dr. Shen received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry in 1993. Her hospital-based training includes work at the Veteran's Administration hospital in Sacramento and Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. She is in the office on Saturdays to help those who are in need of weekend appointments.
Activities and Involvement: Dr. Shen was recognized by Bausch and Lomb to have exceptional clinical potential in contact lenses. She also received the Frederick W. Brock binocular vision thesis award. Dr. Shen has volunteered with the Project Eyes Mission to provide eye care to the needy. |
Dr. Shen lives in Los Altos with her husband and two children. When she is not in the office, she can be found volunteering at Almond School where her children attend.
Audrey V. Louie, O.D.
Dr. Louie attended Stanford University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction in Industrial Engineering in 2000. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree with Clinical Honors from the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry. She is interested in contact lens research and worked at the UC Berkeley Clinical Research Center while in school. She completed her OD thesis on the "Effects of 30-Day Continuous Wear with Silicone Hydrogel Lenses on Corneal Epithelial Barrier Function." Her clinical training includes work at the Palo Alto and Honolulu Veteran's Administration Medical Centers and the Alameda County Medical Center.
Activities and Involvement
Dr. Louie serves as Project Co-Chair of the Santa Clara Optometric Society. She is also a member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Louie enjoys spending her free time with her husband, son and daughter. Together, they cook and explore new restaurants. They can also be found relaxing and enjoying the beautiful California weather on campus at both Stanford and CAL.
